Description
Description
CyclOn assembly grease helps you to mount all sorts of parts on your road or mountain bike. It prevents annoying creaking noises and makes loosening bolts much easier. In addition, it provides good moisture protection and, therefore, against corrosion. The ceramic base makes the assembly paste resistant to extreme forces.
For carbon parts CyclOn offers a carbon assembly paste.
Details
• For smoother mounting and dismounting
• Long-term resistance to contact corrosion
• Long-term resistance to very high temperatures
• Prevents creaking and squeeling
• Does not contain heavy metals
• Free of zinc oxide and, therefore, less harmful to the environment
• Restores slightly damaged screw threads
• On a ceramic basis
Assembly grease is not transparent because it contains small ceramic particles. These serve to ensure that screws remain firmly in place and can come out again eventually. Carbon paste is created specifically for use on carbon, which is more vulnerable to overtightening. The carbon paste ensures that your parts remain securely fastened even with low tightening torques. Then, there is grease that is intended for rotating parts and for parts that must be sealed against water and dirt. It can also be used to mount parts but does not provide extra grip, which assembly grease and carbon paste do.
How to use assembly grease
Assembly grease is applied to each part that you're going to mount, and to the threads of bolts. Apply it with a brush, straight from the tube or simply with your fingers. Basically, you use assembly grease on all threaded bolts, and it is also important to apply it to the following parts: saddle, seat post, stem, pedals, through-axle. Use assembly grease whenever you have removed or dismounted a component. It is also recommendable to remove parts once in a while, check and clean them, and apply fresh assembly grease.
